Why should you #checkthismovieout? Well for on think it is amazing. It has great cinematography and direction. It is the second film in Park Chan Wook’s Vengeance trilogy. I’m never consistent with my opinions on this series. All it takes for me to watch one and I’m saying shit like “this is the best film in the trilogy. I love the violence that takes place in it. I find the fact that the theme of the trilogy is based on a notion about vengeance and not an actor is so incredible.
Shin Ha-kyun plays the role of Ryu the deaf brother who is looking for a way to get his sister a kidney transplant. Bae Doona who is one of my favorite actors plays the role of Ryu’s girlfriend and partner in crime. They are such a cute couple with great chemistry. Song Kang-ho plays the role of the grieving father. The role is amazing. Here Song creates another sympathetic character that has some major and understandable personal flaws. You have to see the ending of this film. It is better than Old Boy to me. It is a great ending to a wonderful film that fits perfectly. I can only hope you are not disappointed. I doubt that you will. Just know this is a crime film, but horror fans claim this art of work as our own. Enjoy!
